It's nice to see you doing something different that's how it is for me I go from a brick job to a block job to a stone job to a paver job to pouring a sidewalk to restoration I don't really have the option of sticking to just one thing like most guys on UA-cam that lay brick and 4in block all day everyday for years where I live in the US the brick houses are few and far between if it's residential it's usually just steps and chimneys

I know this is an old video, but wind poles are actually a thing now if you live in an exposed area and the reveals are less than 750mm. Another pain in the butt to think about.

Interesting shape, not sure what you would call it. Curved yes, but also tapered in two directions which blend together. Very creative.

Perfectionist! It’s a bit tedious but I draw these things to scale first and then do a dry trial for ergonomics before mixing any mortar.

Thanks so much for your videos. I have been proctrastinating repairing my house because I shitted myself only thinking about masonary. I bit the bullet and gave it a go. Amazingly, it went reasonably well. As with all trades, everyting looks so simple in the video. I know all too well, this is only because of many years of experience. Again, many thanks!

Brilliant video, cheers. I've got some tidying up to in the garden where a fence line wall was knocked through for a driveway, and this has shown me everything I need to make it look decent. Thank you.

If your dealing with a 200 year old building and the windows show some signs of rot / damp ingress, would you re-point the externals then deal with the rot or the other way round, we bought a chapel and window mortar is cracking / missing in places
